The Treasure Coast Decorative Painters was formed to bring together Decorative Painters of all levels. Our goal is to further the education of our members and the public about decorative painting.
We meet at 9am, the third Saturday of each month at the First Presbyterian Church on Walton Road in Port St. Lucie, Florida. There are directions and a map on the home page. Our day begins at 9:30 with a brief business meeting followed by a workshop taught by one of our local teacher members. Several national teachers know as travel teachers are brought in for seminars each year at a reasonable cost. These are usually on a Friday and Saturday 9am to 5pm.
One or more Community service projects are chosen each year and for several years we have been painting boxes for the National Organization of Memory Boxes, giving them to local hospitals to be given to parents that lose a child. We also paint suitcases for children when going into foster care and support New Horizons with a monetary contribution as part of our organization.
On the first Saturday of December we host a Christmas Luncheon and Auction of pieces painted by our members Please attend a chapter meeting at no cost to see what we are all about. If you decide to join us, you must first be a National Society member, which costs $50 annually, and includes a fantastic quarterly magazine filled with numerous projects and information. Local chapter dues are $12 annually.
Please contact one of the officers listed on the left if you are interested in joining us. Our members come from far and wide, but we all share the love of painting. And making new friends is a wonderful bonus!
